Den Bristol Typ 171 Sycamore var en tidig helikopter utvecklad och byggd av helikopterdivisionen i Bristol Aeroplane Company. Namnet hänvisar till frön från sycamoreträdet, Acer pseudoplatanus, som faller med en roterande rörelse. Den har skillnaden att vara den första brittiska helikoptern som fick ett luftvärdighetsbevis, samt att vara den första brittiskdesignade helikoptern som introducerades av och tjänstgjorde med Royal Air Force (RAF).
