das Bristol Typ 171 Bergahorn war ein früher Hubschrauber, der von der Hubschrauberabteilung der Bristol Aeroplane Company entwickelt und gebaut wurde. Der Name bezieht sich auf die Samen des Platanenbaums, Acer pseudoplatanus, die mit einer rotierenden Bewegung fallen. Es ist der erste britische Hubschrauber, der ein Lufttüchtigkeitszertifikat erhalten hat, sowie der erste Hubschrauber britischer Bauart, der von der Royal Air Force (RAF) eingeführt wurde und bei ihr dient.
