das Bristol Typ 192 Belvedere Bristol Aeroplane Company ist ein zweimotoriger britischer Militärhubschrauber des britischen Herstellers Bristol Aeroplane. Es wurde von Raoul Hafner für eine Vielzahl von Transportrollen entworfen, darunter Truppentransport, Nachschubabwurf und Evakuierung von Verwundeten. Es wurde von 1961 bis 1969 von der Royal Air Force (RAF) betrieben. Der Belvedere war Großbritanniens einziger Tandemrotorhubschrauber, der in Produktion ging, und einer der wenigen, die nicht von Piasecki oder Boeing gebaut wurden.

Design and Powerplant

Configuration: Tandem rotor design (one rotor at the front, one at the rear), connected by a synchronisation shaft to prevent blade collision.
Powerplant: Two Napier Gazelle N.Ga 2 turboshaft engines.
Power Output: Approximately 1,465 shp (1,092 kW) each.
Safety Feature: The transmission system was designed so that if one engine failed, the remaining engine could automatically drive both rotors.
Rotors: Both the front and rear rotors had four all-metal blades and a diameter of 48.9 ft (14.91 m).
