A Bristol Type 171 platán egy korai helikopter volt, amelyet a Bristol Aeroplane Company helikopter részlege fejlesztett ki és épített. A név a platánfa, az Acer pseudoplatanus magjaira utal, amelyek forgó mozgással esnek.
