Teh Αυλητής J-5 Cub Cruiser ήταν μια μεγαλύτερη, πιο ισχυρή έκδοση του βασικού Piper J-3 Cub. Teh Piper J-5A Cub Cruiser was a light, three-seat touring monoplane developed by Piper Aircraft, serving as a larger and more powerful derivative of the highly popular J-3 Cub.
Introduced in 1940, its primary civil role was as “aviation’s lowest priced three-place airplane,” aimed at private flying, passenger-carrying, and training.
Key Design and Configuration
- Seating: Designed for three occupants (Pilot in front, two passengers side-by-side in the wider rear seat). It was often described as a “two-and-a-half-seater” due to the cramped rear bench.
