das Robinson R44 ist ein viersitziger Leichthubschrauber, der seit 1992 von der Robinson Helicopter Company hergestellt wird. Basierend auf der zweisitzigen Robinson R22 des Unternehmens verfügt die R44 über eine hydraulisch unterstützte Flugsteuerung. Es wurde erstmals am 31. März 1990 geflogen und erhielt im Dezember 1992 die FAA-Zulassung, wobei die erste Auslieferung im Februar 1993 erfolgte.

Design and Powerplant

Engine: One Lycoming IO-540-AE1A5 six-cylinder, fuel-injected piston engine (Raven II). The Raven I uses a carbureted O-540.
