De Robinson R44 is een lichte helikopter met vier zitplaatsen die sinds 1992 wordt geproduceerd door Robinson Helicopter Company. De R44 is gebaseerd op de tweezits Robinson R22 van het bedrijf en beschikt over hydraulisch ondersteunde vluchtbesturing. Het werd voor het eerst gevlogen op 31 maart 1990 en ontving FAA-certificering in december 1992, met de eerste levering in februari 1993.

Design and Powerplant

Engine: One Lycoming IO-540-AE1A5 six-cylinder, fuel-injected piston engine (Raven II). The Raven I uses a carbureted O-540.
