DescriptionAlbum de 47 walk-around photos of the P-51 Mustang

The P-51 Mustang is an American fighter aircraft designed by North American Aviation that was used during World War II. It was developed to meet the urgent need for additional British fighters in 1940 during the Battle of Britain. Although performing at low altitudes thanks to its high aerodynamic finesse, its Allison engine, whose supercharger system is not very advanced, initially limited its use as an air superiority fighter. Following the adaptation of the excellent British Rolls Royce Merlin engine, the P-51D became the escort aircraft the United States needed to accompany its large daytime raids of strategic bombers over Germany. At the beginning of 1944, he had a decisive part in obtaining the air superiority that allowed the invasion of Europe. It is one of the three great American hunters of the Second World War by number, with 15,586 copies produced2. Its main assets are its speed and above all its very wide range of action. Many consider him the best propeller fighter of all time. The name Mustang of the aircraft was given by the British, the Americans having first named it Apache before adopting the British name.

TypeMedium tank

The T-34 is a medium tank that entered service in 1940 in the Red Army. At the time, it was a remarkable balance between the three major factors that defined the quality of an armoured vehicle: firepower, protection and mobility. This success made it one of the Soviet Union's strengths in the face of the invasion of the Wehrmacht. In order to counter it, it will have to revise its armoured design policy by developing, for example, the Panzer-V 'Panther', which borrowed some of its technical features from the T-34. Although it was quickly overtaken by foreign productions, the T-34 will still remain in production from 1940 to 1958, with a total of units produced estimated at 84,070, making it the second most produced tank of all time, just behind its successors, the T-54 and T-55.

Album de 23 walk-around photos of the hunter "Hawker Sea Fury"

Le Hawker Fury was the successor to the Hawker Typhoon and the Hawker Tempest. The Fury was designed in 1942 by the famous Sidney Camm in response to a royal Air Force tender to replace the Tempest II. Designed as a "lighter Tempest," his predecessor used a semi-elliptic wing riveted in the centre of the fuselage. The fuselage itself was similar to that of the Tempest, but completely monohull and with an elevated cockpit to provide better visibility to the pilot.

The CASA 2.111 was a Spanish-made version of the famous German bomber Heinkel 111.
