Den Ærø A.12 var et tjekkoslovakisk biplan let bombefly og militært rekognosceringsfly fremstillet i mindre antal kort efter første verdenskrig. Selvom det mindede om det Hansa-Brandenburg-designede fly, som Aero byggede under krigen under licens som Ae.10, var A.12 selskabets eget design. Det er måske mest betydningsfuldt som den direkte efterkommer af den meget succesrige A.11 og dens forskellige derivater. Et eksemplar af typen er bevaret på Letecké Muzeum i Kbely.

General Characteristics

The Aero A.12 was a two-seat biplane designed and produced in Czechoslovakia in the early 1920s. It was one of the first successful military aircraft developed by the newly established Aero company for the Czechoslovakian Air Force. Primarily used for light bombing and reconnaissance, the A.12 proved reliable and served as the design basis for the highly successful A.11 series.

Design and Powerplant
