Denel Rooivalk (tidigare betecknad AH-2 och CSH-2) är en attackhelikopter tillverkad av Denel Aviation i Sydafrika. Rooivalk är afrikaans för "Red Falcon", som hänvisar till den mindre tornfalken. Utvecklingen av typen började 1984 av Atlas Aircraft Corporation, dess utveckling är nära kopplad till Atlas Oryx transporthelikopter, båda flygplanen är baserade på Aérospatiale SA 330 Puma och har startat utvecklingen samtidigt.

General Characteristics (Rooivalk Mk 1F)

The Denel Rooivalk (“Red Kestrel”) is a twin-engine, tandem-seat attack helicopter manufactured by Denel Aviation of South Africa. Developed from the dynamic components of the Aérospatiale Super Puma/Atlas Oryx, it was designed for anti-armour, ground suppression, and anti-helicopter missions, tailored to operate effectively in the harsh African environment with minimal support.

Design and Powerplant
