Denel Rooivalk (tidligere betegnet AH-2 og CSH-2) er en angrebshelikopter fremstillet af Denel Aviation i Sydafrika. Rooivalk er afrikaans for "rød falk", som refererer til den mindre tårnfalk. Udviklingen af typen begyndte i 1984 af Atlas Aircraft Corporation, dens udvikling er tæt forbundet med Atlas Oryx transporthelikopteren, begge fly er baseret på Aérospatiale SA 330 Puma og har startet udviklingen på samme tid.

General Characteristics (Rooivalk Mk 1F)

The Denel Rooivalk (“Red Kestrel”) is a twin-engine, tandem-seat attack helicopter manufactured by Denel Aviation of South Africa. Developed from the dynamic components of the Aérospatiale Super Puma/Atlas Oryx, it was designed for anti-armour, ground suppression, and anti-helicopter missions, tailored to operate effectively in the harsh African environment with minimal support.

Design and Powerplant
