Le Denel Rooivalk (précédemment désigné AH-2 et CSH-2) est un hélicoptère d’attaque construit par Denel Aviation en Afrique du Sud. Rooivalk signifie afrikaans « Faucon rouge », qui fait référence au faucon crécerelle. Le développement du type a commencé en 1984 par Atlas Aircraft Corporation, son développement est étroitement lié à l’hélicoptère de transport Atlas Oryx, les deux avions étant basés sur l’Aérospatiale SA 330 Puma et ayant commencé le développement en même temps.

Developed from the dynamic components of the Aérospatiale Super Puma/Atlas Oryx, it was designed for anti-armour, ground suppression, and anti-helicopter missions, tailored to operate effectively in the harsh African environment with minimal support.
