Tthe 푸가 CM.170 매지스터 is a 1950s French two-seat jet trainer. The related CM.175 Zéphyr was a carrier-capable version for the French Navy. In 1948, development commenced at Fouga on a new primary trainer aircraft design that harnessed newly developed jet propulsion technology. The initial design was evaluated by the French Air Force (Armée de l’Air, AdA) and, in response to its determination that the aircraft lacked sufficient power for its requirements, was enlarged and adopted a pair of Turbomeca Marboré turbojet engines. First flying on 23 July 1952, the first production order for the type was received on 13 January 1954. In addition, the related CM.175 Zéphyr was a carrier-capable version developed and produced for the French Navy.

더 많은 정보:

Tthe 푸가 매지스터 C.M.170 is a French jet trainer aircraft that was developed in the 1950s and widely exported to various air forces around the world. It is a twin-engine, low-wing monoplane with a distinctive V-tail and a side-by-side cockpit for two pilots. The Magister was designed by Robert Castello and Pierre Mauboussin as a successor to their earlier propeller-driven trainer, the C.M.130. The Magister first flew in 1952 and entered service with the French Air Force in 1956. It was also adopted by the French Navy, the Belgian Air Force, the Israeli Air Force, and many other countries.
Tthe Magister was used for basic and advanced training, aerobatics, light attack, reconnaissance, and liaison missions. It was also the first jet aircraft to be used by the Patrouille de France aerobatic team. The Magister was produced until 1962, with a total of 929 units built. Some of them were later modified into the C.M.175 Zephyr, a carrier-capable version for the French Navy. The Magister was retired from most of its operators by the 1980s, but some examples are still flying today as civilian-owned warbirds or museum exhibits.
