De M47 Patton was an American main battle tank, a development of the M46 Patton mounting an updated turret, and was in turn further developed as the M48 Patton. It was the second American tank to be named after General George S. Patton, commander of the U.S. Third Army during World War II and one of the earliest American advocates of tanks in battle. The M47 was the U.S. Army’s and Marine Corps’ primary tank, intended to replace the M46 Patton and M4 Sherman medium tanks. The M47 was widely used by U.S. Cold War allies, both SEATO and NATO countries, and was the only Patton series tank that never saw combat while in US service.

The B Mk XVI had a maximum speed of 408 mph (656 km/h), a cruising speed of 245 mph (394 km/h), ceiling of 37,000 ft (11,280 m), a range of 1,485 nm (2,390 km), and a climb rate of 2,800 ft per minute (853 m). The type could carry 4,000 lb (1,810 kg) of bombs. The B.35 had a maximum speed of 422 mph (679 km/h), a cruising speed of 276 mph (444 km/h), ceiling of 42,000 ft (12,800 m), a range of 1,750 nm (2,820 km), and a climb rate of 2,700 ft per minute (823 m)

De T-34 was het meest invloedrijke tankontwerp van de 2e Wereldoorlog. Toen het voor het eerst in de strijd werd geïntroduceerd in de zomer van 1941, betekende het een revolutionaire sprong voorwaarts in tankontwerp. Zijn vuurkracht, pantserbescherming en mobiliteit waren superieur aan die van elke andere middelgrote tank uit die periode. Deze superioriteit duurde niet lang. Terwijl de T-34 in 1943 een reeks incrementele verbeteringen onderging, werd hij overtroffen door nieuwe Duitse tankontwerpen, met name de Panther. The M4 Sherman tank was the mainstay of the Western allies between 1942 and 1945. Fast and modern it was better than most of the tanks Britain had to offer. The American Chief of Staff claimed in November 1943 that it had been hailed widely as ‘the best tank on the battlefield today’. However, by the time of the Normandy invasion of June 1944 this was not the case. The new heavy tanks being produced by the Germans were able to outclass the Sherman in both armour and armament. De Panavia Tornado is a family of twin-engine, variable-sweep wing combat aircraft, which was jointly developed and manufactured by the United Kingdom, West Germany and Italy. There are three primary variants of the Tornado; the Tornado IDS (interdictor/strike) fighter-bomber, the suppression of enemy air defences Tornado ECR (electronic combat/reconnaissance) and the Tornado ADV (air defence variant) interceptor. The Tornado was developed and built by Panavia Aircraft GmbH, a tri-national consortium consisting of British Aerospace (previously British Aircraft Corporation), MBB of West Germany, and Aeritalia of Italy. It first flew on 14 August 1974 and was introduced into service in 1979–1980. Due to its multirole nature, it was able to replace several different fleets of aircraft in the adopting air forces. The Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) became an export operator of the Tornado in addition to the three original partner nations. A tri-nation training and evaluation unit operating from RAF Cottesmore, the Tri-National Tornado Training Establishment, maintained a level of international cooperation beyond the production stage.

Fotogalerij van een Leopard 2E, The Luipaard 2E (E staat voor España, Spaans voor Spanje) is een variant van de Duitse Leopard 2 gevechtstank, afgestemd op de eisen van het Spaanse leger, dat het verwierf als onderdeel van een moderniseringsprogramma voor bewapening genaamd Programa Coraza, of Program Breastplate. Het aankoopprogramma voor de Leopard 2E begon in 1994, vijf jaar na de annulering van het Lince-tankprogramma dat culmineerde in een overeenkomst om 108 Leopard 2A4's over te dragen aan het Spaanse leger in 1998 en begon met de lokale productie van de Leopard 2E in december 2003. Ondanks uitstel van de productie als gevolg van de fusie in 2003 tussen Santa Bárbara Sistemas en General Dynamics, en aanhoudende fabricageproblemen tussen 2006 en 2007, zijn er 219 Leopard 2E's geleverd aan het Spaanse leger.
