Le K30 è stato annunciato per la prima volta come progetto nel 1983 con 600 persone che conducevano ricerche e circa 10 miliardi di won spesi in ricerca e sviluppo. Nel settembre 2001, la produzione di prototipi è stata effettuata sotto la Tong-il Heavy Industries prima che Doosan Infracore concludesse un contratto con il Defense Acquisition Program della Corea nel 2007. Un primo ordine è stato effettuato nel 2002 per la fornitura del K30.

General Characteristics

The K30 Biho is a South Korean short-range self-propelled anti-aircraft gun (SPAAG) system. It was designed to provide close-in air defense against low-flying aircraft, helicopters, and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for ground forces.

Amphibious Capability: Inherits the amphibious capability of the K200 chassis.
