Čaj K30 je prvi put najavljen kao projekat u 1983. godini sa 600 osoblja koje je sprovelo istraživanje i oko 10 milijardi vona potrošeno na istraživanje i razvoj. U septembru 2001. godine, proizvodnja prototipova obavljena je u okviru Tong-il Heavi Industries pre nego što je Doosan Infracore zaključio ugovor sa korejskim programom za nabavku odbrane u 2007. godini. Prvobitna naredba je napravljena 2002. godine za snabdevanje K30.

General Characteristics

The K30 Biho is a South Korean short-range self-propelled anti-aircraft gun (SPAAG) system. It was designed to provide close-in air defense against low-flying aircraft, helicopters, and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for ground forces.

Key Feature (K-30 Hybrid): An upgraded variant, the K-30 Biho Hybrid, integrates shoulder-fired missiles (like the K-SAAM or Mistral) and an auxiliary power unit (APU) for quiet operation, significantly extending its engagement range.
Amphibious Capability: Inherits the amphibious capability of the K200 chassis.
