Lla Frégate N 262 is a twin-engine turboprop aircraft designed and manufactured by Nord Aviation, a French aerospace company. It was developed in the late 1950s as a military transport and liaison aircraft, capable of carrying up to 24 passengers or 2,500 kg of cargo. The Fregate N 262 was also used for maritime patrol, electronic warfare, and training missions by various air forces and navies around the world.
The Fregate N 262 had a high-wing configuration, a retractable tricycle landing gear, and a pressurized cabin. It was powered by two Turbomeca Bastan turboprop engines, each producing 1,080 hp. The Fregate N 262 had a maximum speed of 470 km/h, a range of 2,200 km, and a service ceiling of 9,500 m. The Fregate N 262 entered service in 1962 and was produced until 1976, with a total of 110 units built.
