The MOWAG Piranha is a family of armoured fighting vehicles designed by the Swiss company MOWAG (since April 2010 the name has changed to General Dynamics European Land Systems – Mowag GmbH). Five generations of vehicles have been produced, manufactured by Mowag or under licence by other companies, and variants are in service with military forces throughout the world. Piranhas are available in 4×4, 6×6, 8×8, and 10×10 wheel versions. There are several variants within these versions, giving different degrees of armour protection and several kinds of turret, for use in a variety of roles. Piranha derivatives have been assigned roles as troop transports, command vehicles, fire support vehicles, tank trainers, and police vehicles.

The MT-LB (Russian: Многоцелевой Тягач Легкий Бронированный, Mnogotselevoy Tyagach Logkiy Bronirovannyi / light multi-purpose armoured towing vehicle) is a Soviet multi-purpose fully amphibious auxiliary armoured tracked vehicle, which was first introduced in the late 1960s. Initially, the vehicle was known as the M 1970 in the west. Swedish MT-LB converted into Pbv 401 Pbv 401 (pansarbandvagn) – modified former East-German vehicle with 7.62 mm machine guns Ksp 95 and Ksp 58. Stripbv 4011 (stridsledningbandvagn) – battalion-level command post. Bgbv 4012 (bärgningsbandvagn) – Swedish designator for the MTP-LB. Rlpbv 4014/T (radiolänkbandvagn) – signals vehicle. Stripbv 4021 (stridsledningbandvagn) – company-level command post. Sjvpbv 4024 (sjukvårdspansarbandvagn) – Military ambulance. Lvrbpbv 4016 (luftvärnsrobotbandvagn) – unconfirmed designator for vehicles, equipped with RBS 70. Pvrbbv 452 (pansarvärnrobotbandvagn) – with RBS 56 BILL 1 Anti-tank guided weapon.

Official German designation: Sturmgeschutz (StuG) 8.8cm Pak43/2 (Ferdinand/Elefant) The StuG 8.8cm was based on the unsuccessful Porsche Tiger chassis fitted with a heavily armoured superstructure in the front and a mounted 8,8cm Pak 43/2 L/71 gun. A total of 90 vehicles were produced; they first saw combat in the Battle of Kursk (Operation Citadel). It was built in 1943 under the name Ferdinand, after its designer Ferdinand Porsche, but was soon renamed. After the Battle of Kursk, the remaining 48 vehicles were pulled out of service and given an overhaul. This included a ball-mount machine gun in the front along with a commander’s cupola. The name Elefant was soon decided upon. The vehicle was received with mixed feelings. It provided good protection with its thick armour but was severely unreliable in its mechanics due to the use of non-standard parts. Nevertheless, the Ferdinand/Elefant might well have been the most successful tank destroyer employed during the war, with a kills to losses ratio of approximately 10:1.

Pansarbandvagn 302 (Pbv 302) je švedski visokomobilnostni oklepnik, ki je bil razvit za izpolnitev operativnih zahtev Švedske vojske. Zasnovala in izdelala sta ga Hägglund in Söner v Örnsköldsviku (zdaj Hägglunds Vehicle AB). Model je bil leta 1961 naročil kot zamenjavo za Pbv 301. Proizvodnja je tekla od leta 1966 do 1971. Vozilo je nadgrajeno in se nadaljuje v omejeni uporabi, čeprav je serija CV 90 zdaj standardno pehotno bojno vozilo na Švedskem, ki ga uporabljajo tako doma kot švedske sile v tujini.

Pansarbandvagn 301 (pbv 301), was a Swedish armoured personnel carrier used by the Swedish Army. It was a typical “battle taxi”, armed with a 20 mm Bofors gun from the scrapped J21-fighters and with room for transporting 8 fully armed soldiers. The pbv 301 was an interim solution, built on the chassis from the obsolete Stridsvagn m/41, introduced in 1961 and removed from service in the late 1960s and early 1970s when the replacement pbv 302 came into use. The pbv 301 replaced the open-topped KP-bil armoured car as the armoured troop transport in the Swedish Army.

Fotogalerija Douglas F4D-1 (F-6A) Skyray, The Douglas F4D Skyray (later redesignated F-6 Skyray) was an American carrier-based supersonic fighter/interceptor built by the Douglas Aircraft Company. Although it was in service for a relatively short time and never entered combat, it was notable for being the first carrier-launched aircraft to hold the world’s absolute speed record, at 752.943 mph,[1] and was the first United States Navy and United States Marine Corps fighter that could exceed Mach 1 in level flight. It was the last fighter produced by the Douglas Aircraft Company before it merged with McDonnell Aircraft and became McDonnell Douglas. The F5D Skylancer was an advanced development of the F4D Skyray that did not go into service.

V Northrop F-5A/B Freedom Fighter in F-5E/F Tiger II sta del nadzvočne družine lahkih lovcev, ki jih je v poznih 1950-ih prvotno zasnovala družba Northrop Corporation. Ker je manjši in enostavnejši od sodobnikov, kot je McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II, je F-5 stal manj za nabavo in delovanje, zaradi česar je priljubljeno izvozno letalo. F-5 je začel življenje kot zasebno financiran program lahkih lovcev s strani Northropa v 1950-ih. Oblikovalska ekipa je majhen, zelo aerodinamičen lovec ovila okoli dveh kompaktnih motorjev General Electric J85 z visokim potiskom, pri čemer se je osredotočila na zmogljivost in nizke stroške vzdrževanja. Čeprav je letalo zasnovano predvsem za vlogo dnevne zračne premoči, je tudi sposobna platforma za napad na tla. F-5A je začel obratovati v zgodnjih 1960-ih. Med hladno vojno je bilo do leta 1972 proizvedenih več kot 800 za ameriške zaveznike. V Panzerhaubitze 2000 ("armourred howitzer 2000"), skrajšano PzH 2000, je nemška 155 mm samohodna hlajenje, ki sta ga razvila Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW) in Rheinmetall za nemško vojsko. PzH 2000 je eden najmočnejših konvencionalnih topnišnih sistemov, ki so bili nameščeni v 2010. Še posebej je pomembna za zelo visoko stopnjo požara; v načinu počil lahko izstreli tri naboje v 9 sekundah, deset nabojev v 56 sekundah in lahko – odvisno od ogrevanja sodov – neprekinjeno strelja med 10 in 13 nabojev na minuto. [1] PzH 2000 ima avtomatsko podporo za do 5 krogov več krogov hkratnega učinka (MRSI). Dopolnitev lupine je avtomatizirana. Dva operaterja lahko v manj kot 12 minutah naložita 60 lupin in pogonskih nabojev. PzH 2000 so izbrale tudi vojske Italije, Nizozemske, Grčije, Litve in Hrvaške, več ukazov pa je verjetno toliko Natovih sil, ki nadomeščajo njihove M109 hobice.

BA-3 (rusko Broneavtomobil 3) je bil težki oklepni avtomobil, razvit leta 1933 v Sovjetski zvezi, sledil pa je nekoliko spremenjen model BA-6 leta 1936. Oba sta temeljila predvsem na BA-I, najpomembnejši razvoj pa je bila nova kupola, enako kot v tankih T-26 m 1933 in BT-5, opremljena pa je bila tudi z glavno pištolo 45 mm. V tovarnah Izhorskij in Vyksunskij je bilo zgrajenih okoli 180 avtomobilov BA-3, dokler se proizvodnja ni končala leta 1935. SLEDILO JE BA-6 s 386 avtomobili, proizvedenimi med letoma 1936 in 1938 v tovarni Izhorskij. Večina proizvodnje BA-3 je temeljila na Ford-Timken šasiji, 6×4 modifikaciji tovornjaka US Ford AA 4×2, vendar je bila zadnja serija zgrajena na ruski različici istega šasije – GAZ-AAA, se je še naprej uporabljala v BA-6. Največja omejitev BA-3 je bila mobilnost, omejena na ceste ali zelo trda tla, posledica nepotrebno velike teže. Inovacija, ki je nekoliko izboljšala mobilnost, so bile pomožne ("Splošno") skladbe, ki bi se lahko namestile na kolesa zadaj tandem, s tem pa avto pretvorili v pol progo.

Fotogalerija Bachem Ba 349 Natter, The Bachem Ba 349 Natter (English: Colubrid, grass-snake) was a World War II German point-defence rocket-powered interceptor, which was to be used in a very similar way to a manned surface-to-air missile. After a vertical take-off, which eliminated the need for airfields, most of the flight to the Allied bombers was to be controlled by an autopilot. The primary role of the relatively untrained pilot was to aim the aircraft at its target bomber and fire its armament of rockets. The pilot and the fuselage containing the rocket-motor would then land using separate parachutes, while the nose section was disposable. The only manned vertical take-off flight on 1 March 1945 ended in the death of the test pilot, Lothar Sieber.
