The Harbin SH-5 (Water Bomber Type 5) is a large, Chinese maritime patrol amphibious aircraft designed by the Harbin Aircraft Manufacturing Corporation. Developed in the 1970s to replace the aging Soviet Beriev Be-6 flying boats, it is intended for a wide range of duties including anti-submarine warfare (ASW), anti-ship warfare, air-sea rescue (ASR), and aerial firefighting.
