Album de 103 walkaround photos of the tank "PzKpfw II"

Photo Gallery on a PzKpfw II, The Panzerkampfwagen II abbreviated PzKpfw II and known as Sd.Kfz.121 was a German tank during World War II. Like its predecessor the PzKpfw I, it was designed as a temporary device that allows to wait for the arrival of the PzKpfw III tanks and the Panzer IV. They were in fact intended to be used for training purposes to train the panzerwaffe crews in the tactics of the future Blitzkrieg.

Mais le retard dans la mise au point et la production des Panzers II et IV obligea l’état major Allemand à les utiliser en grand nombre durant le début de la Seconde Guerre mondiale jusqu’à l’année 1941 où ils purent être progressivement remplacés. Le Panzer II remained was later used as a reconnaissance vehicle and chassis for the Marder II as well as the Wespe.

The Panzer II was the common name for a family of German tanks used in World War II. The official German designation was Panzerkampfwagen II (abbreviated PzKpfw II). Although the vehicle had originally been designed as a stopgap while more advanced tanks were developed, it nonetheless went on to play an important role in the early years of World War II, during the Polish and French campaigns. By the end of 1942 it had been largely removed from front line service, and production of the tank itself ceased by 1943. Its chassis remained in use as the basis of several other armored vehicles.

Photo Gallery on a Centurion Mk.13, The Centurion is a tank of the British army after the war. This tank is considered by specialists to be one of the very first British tanks of quality. Its development began during the Second World War, having not arrived early enough on the ground, it did not take part in the fighting. On the other hand, he was engaged during the Korean War, where he seems to have outperformed both American and Soviet tanks.

It was one of the most widespread tanks in the world, being in service in many armies and enjoying an extraordinary longevity still being actively active in 1990s and even 2000 for some of its derivative versions. His successor will be the Chieftain model.

Cromwell Cruiser Tank 1942-50

Relié48 pages
ISBN-13978-1841768144

Book description : For most of World War II, British tank development remained faithful to the design philosophy inaugurated during World War I. Experiences in North Africa highlighted flaws in this basic design, however, and the General Staff identified the need for a new heavy cruiser that could combine speed and manoeuvrability with increased armour and armament. The Cromwell Cruiser tank was designed as a result and soon proved itself one of the fastest and most successful tanks deployed by the Allies during World War II. This book details the design and development of the Cromwell and its many variants, from its introduction at D-Day, through its many successes in the final year of World War II and beyond.
