The Steyr 680M has a 6×6 drive configuration and a payload capacity of 5 tons. The truck is powered by a 6-cylinder diesel engine with 110 horsepower and a top speed of 85 km/h. The Steyr 680M has a steel cab with a canvas roof and can accommodate up to three crew members. The truck has a high ground clearance and can ford water up to 1.2 meters deep.
