Daugiau informacijos:

The Douglas B-23 Dragon was a twin-engine bomber aircraft developed by the Douglas Aircraft Company in the late 1930s. It was designed as a successor to the Douglas B-18 Bolo, but it proved to be less effective than the Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress and the Consolidated B-24 Liberator in high-altitude bombing.
The B-23 was faster and more maneuverable than the B-18, but it had a smaller bomb load and a shorter range. Only 38 B-23s were built, and none of them saw combat as bombers. Instead, they were used for reconnaissance, transport, and training missions. Some of them were also converted to civilian use after World War II. The B-23 was the last bomber produced by Douglas until the advent of the jet age.
