Tthe Canadair CP-107 아르고스 was a maritime patrol aircraft designed and built by Canadair for the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) in the 1950s and 1960s. It was based on the Bristol Britannia airliner, but with a modified fuselage and tail, and a new wing and engine configuration. The Argus was one of the most advanced maritime patrol aircraft of its time, equipped with a powerful radar, sonobuoys, magnetic anomaly detector, and electronic countermeasures. It could fly for over 24 hours without refueling, and had a range of over 7,000 miles. The Argus was used primarily for anti-submarine warfare (ASW) missions, but also performed search and rescue, coastal surveillance, and oceanographic research roles. The RCAF operated 33 Argus aircraft from 1957 to 1982, when they were replaced by the Lockheed CP-140 Aurora.
