The IMAM Ro 37bis was a variant of the IMAM Ro 37, a two-seater reconnaissance biplane that was used by the Italian Air Force in the 1930s and 1940s. The Ro 37bis had a more powerful radial engine than the original Ro 37, which had an inline engine. The Ro 37bis was faster, more reliable, and more maneuverable than its predecessor. It could carry three machine guns and twelve bombs for close air support missions.
The Ro 37bis saw action in various conflicts, such as the Second Italo-Ethiopian War, the Spanish Civil War, and the Second World War. It was also exported to several countries, such as Hungary, Afghanistan, and some Latin American nations. The Ro 37bis was a versatile and effective aircraft for its time, but it was gradually replaced by more modern monoplanes as the war progressed. The last operational Ro 37bis were retired in 1945.
