O Arado Ar 196 foi um avião monoplano de reconhecimento de bordo construído pela empresa alemã de Arado a partir de 1936. No ano seguinte, foi selecionado como vencedor de um concurso de design e tornou-se a aeronave padrão da Kriegsmarine (Marinha Alemã) durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial.

The Arado Ar 196 was the standard shipboard reconnaissance aircraft of the German Kriegsmarine (Navy) throughout World War II, replacing the older Heinkel He 60 biplane. The A-3 was a heavily armed production variant with a reinforced structure.
