Russian PT-76 Light Amphibious Tank

Et sett fra merkevaren Trumpeter settet: «Russian PT-76 Light Amphibious Tank – Trumpeter 00380».

The PT-76 is one of several light amphibious tanks developed and used by the Soviet Army. Although the PT-76 is lightly armored for a modern tank, its inherent amphibious capability outweighs these limitations. It has had widespread use in the Warsaw Pact and many other countries. ThePT-76 carries a 76mm main gun with a maximum effective range of approximately 1500 meters.

Operated by a three man crew, the PT-76 is often used to transport troops. The fact that the commander is also the gunner and radio operator reduces his effectiveness as an observer. The PT-76 also lagged behind other Soviet armored fighting vehicles in having no night vision equipment and no NBC protection system for the three-man crew.

Un livre signé Osprey Publisering le livre «Staghound Armored Car 1942–62 – NEW VANGUARD 159» .

The Staghound was a unique World War II armored vehicle – designed and manufactured in the US, but intended solely for the British army. Since its combat debut in Italy in 1943 until the end of the war it had performed particularly valuable service in a reconnaissance role where its speed and armor ensured that it was able to extricate itself from trouble as required without additional support. This book examines the development of this category of armored cars and offers a detailed analysis of the extensive combat use of the Staghound in British service as well as in the service of other Allied countries including Canada, New Zealand and Poland.

STAGHOUND MK.

I – ITALERI 6459".
