De Grumman G-164C Ag-Cat is een variant van de Grumman G-164 Ag-Cat, een eenmotorig tweedekker landbouwvliegtuig dat in de jaren 1950 door Grumman werd ontwikkeld. De Ag-Cat was het eerste vliegtuig dat speciaal werd ontworpen door een groot vliegtuigbedrijf voor de landbouwluchtvaart en vertegenwoordigde een aanzienlijke verbetering in veiligheid en betrouwbaarheid ten opzichte van omgebouwde stofdoeken. De Ag-Cat werd aanvankelijk geproduceerd door Schweizer Aircraft in opdracht van Grumman, en later door andere fabrikanten. Het G-164C-model werd in 1995 geïntroduceerd door Ag-Cat Corp. en had een 750 pk Pratt & Whitney PT6A-34AG turbopropmotor, een grotere hoppercapaciteit, verbeterd zicht in de cockpit en een nieuw staartontwerp. De G-164C Ag-Cat kan tot 400 gallons vloeistof of 3.000 pond droge chemicaliën vervoeren en kan werken vanaf korte en ruwe velden. De G-164C Ag-Cat wordt veel gebruikt voor het afstoffen van gewassen, spuiten, zaaien en brandbestrijdingsoperaties over de hele wereld.
