De AgustaWestland AW101 is een medium-lift helikopter in militair en civiel gebruik. Voor het eerst gevlogen in 1987, werd het ontwikkeld door een joint venture tussen Westland Helicopters in het Verenigd Koninkrijk en Agusta in Italië als antwoord op de nationale eisen voor een moderne marine utility helikopter. Verschillende operators, waaronder de strijdkrachten van Groot-Brittannië, Denemarken en Portugal, gebruiken de naam Merlin voor hun AW101-vliegtuigen. Het wordt vervaardigd in fabrieken in Yeovil, Engeland en Vergiate, Italië; gelicentieerd assemblagewerk heeft ook plaatsgevonden in Japan en de Verenigde Staten.
