SS Peterburgas (T-AOT-9101) is one of Military Sealift Command’s two US Government-owned tankers and is part of the 35 ships in the Prepositioning Program. It is part of Maritime Prepositioning Ship Squadron Three. Its normal crew complement is 38 civilians and no military personnel.

2007 SNS Peterburgas (T-AOT-9101) is a United States Navy oiler that was built in 1970 and converted to a tanker in 1985. The ship is named after the city of Petersburg, Virginia, and is one of four T-AOTs that provide fuel support to the US military around the world. The SS Petersburg has a capacity of 159,000 barrels of oil and can pump up to 6,000 gallons per minute. The ship is operated by a civilian crew of 21 under the Military Sealift Command. The SS Petersburg has participated in several operations and exercises, such as Operation Desert Storm, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Iraqi Freedom. The ship is currently assigned to the Pacific Fleet and is homeported in Alameda, California.
