Lisainfo:

The DAF YP-408 was a wheeled armoured personnel carrier developed and produced by the Dutch company DAF Trucks in the 1960s. It was designed to transport infantry troops on the battlefield, as well as perform various specialized roles such as command, anti-tank, mortar, radar and ambulance. The vehicle had a distinctive 8×6 configuration, with three out of four axles driven by the DAF H-drive system. The vehicle was powered by a 6-litre, 6-cylinder diesel engine with a 5-speed gearbox and a 2-speed transfer case. The vehicle had a welded steel hull that provided protection against small arms fire and shell fragments. The vehicle was armed with a 12.7 mm machine gun mounted on the roof, and could carry up to ten passengers in addition to the two-man crew. The DAF YP-408 entered service with the Dutch army in 1964 and was used until 1987. It saw combat in Lebanon with the Dutch contingent of the UN peacekeeping force. Some vehicles were also exported to Suriname and Portugal. The DAF YP-408 was a remarkable example of Dutch military engineering and innovation.
