Hellmut G. Haasis wurde 1942 in Mühlacker geboren. Er studierte Theologie, Geschichte, Soziologie und Politikwissenschaft. Er ist Autor von Joseph Süß Oppenheimer, genannt Jud Süß: Finanzier, Freidenker, Justizopfer und von Tod in Prag: Das Attentat auf Reinhard Heydrich. Daneben veröffentlichte er Kurzgeschichten, Gedichte, Dramen und Hörspiele sowie einen Roman in schwäbischem Dialekt. Er ist Träger des Thaddäus-Troll-Preises, des Schubart-Preises und des Civis-Preises.William Odom studierte an der Freie Üniversität Berlin, der 1961 in die Universität eintrat, als mit dem Bau der Mauer begonnen wurde. Er promovierte in Deutsch an der Tulane University. Er ist Autor von Deutsch für Sängerinnen und Sänger und Übersetzer von JAZZ: Eine Fotogeschichte von Joachim-Ernst Berendt, Hörspiel: Eine Sammlung zeitgenössischer deutscher Hörspieleund Morgen sind wir in der Schweiz: Die Rettung der Kinder von La Hille von Klaus Ihlau.
