Fotogalleri af en RAM Mk.II, The Tank, Cruiser, Ram was a cruiser tank designed and built by Canada in the Second World War, based on the U.S. M3 Medium tank. Due to standardization on the American Sherman tank for frontline units, it was used exclusively for training purposes and was never used in combat as a gun tank. The chassis was used for several other combat roles however, such as a flamethrower tank, observation post, and armoured personnel carrier.

Flere oplysninger:

The Ram Mk.II was a Canadian cruiser tank developed during the Second World War. It was based on the American M3 Medium tank chassis, but with a redesigned cast hull and turret that housed a British 6-pounder gun. The Ram Mk.II also had a secondary machine gun turret in the front, which was later removed to save weight and improve visibility. The Ram Mk.II was never used in combat as a tank, but served as a training vehicle and a platform for various specialized variants, such as flamethrower, observation post, and armoured personnel carrier. The Ram Mk.II was produced from 1942 to July 1943, with a total of 2,943 units built by the Montreal Locomotive Works.
