The SdKfz 7 (Sonderkraftfahrzeug 7) was a military halftrack used during World War II by the Wehrmacht.
The development of the SdKfz 7 dates back to a request issued in 1934 for the creation of an eight-tonne half-track (7.87 tons). The vehicle made its first appearance in 1938 and was intended to be used primarily as a tractor for the 88 mm Flak anti-aircraft gun. It could carry up to eight men and a large quantity of equipment, as well as tow up to 8,000 kg. In general, it was equipped with a winch. It was generally considered very useful. Continue reading
