Signed documentation Wydawnictwo Militaria the book "Sdkfz.250 - Wydawnictwo 231" .
The SdKfz 250 (Sonderkraftfahrzeug 250) was a light armoured half-track, resembling the largest SdKfz 251, used by the Wehrmacht during World War II. The 250 had four wheel axes in contact with the ground while the 251 had six. The SdKfz 251 could carry a load of three tons while the smaller, lighter SdKfz 250 could carry only a ton of load. Seen from the front, the two vehicles looked very similar and were difficult to distinguish.
Compared to the half-tracks produced by the Americans during the same conflict, the SdKfz series vehicles were less mobile and with front wheels without traction. However, its chains made the SdKfz 250 a much more mobile vehicle than the armoured vehicles it replaced and it was a popular vehicle. Most models did not have top protection and only had an access door on the rear.
