Officially designated as the Light Tank M24, the British gave this tank the service name ‘Chaffee’. Arguably the best light tank of the war, the vehicle was intended as a replacement for the M5 Stuart. The design departed quite a lot from those of earlier light tanks. Twin Cadillac engines and Hydramatic transmission enabled the vehicle to achieve high speeds, while torsion-bar suspension granted it good cross-country capabilities. A new lightweight 75mm gun packed decent firepower into the tank’s turret which, coupled with its low silhouette, was a nice advantage for a light tank. The M24 was used during the later part of World War II and in several post-war conflicts, from the Korean War to the First Indochina War.

Photo Gallery of a AMX-10RC, The AMX-10RC is a light reconnaissance vehicle built by GIAT. Over 300 are in service in the French Army. In addition, 108 vehicles were sold to Morocco and 12 to Qatar. RC stands for Roues-Canon, or wheeled gun. The AMX-10RC should not be confused with the AMX-10P; they share automotive components but otherwise have completely different battlefield roles. The AMX-10RC is amphibious and has very good mobility. It is usually used for reconnaissance missions in dangerous environments or for fire support.

Fotó galery egy Marder 1A3, The Marder (German for “marten”) is a German infantry fighting vehicle operated by the German Army as the main weapon of the Panzergrenadiere (mechanized infantry) from the 1970s through the present day. Developed as part of the rebuilding of Germany’s armoured fighting vehicle industry, the Marder has proven to be a successful and solid infantry fighting vehicle design. While it does include a few unique features, such as the fully remote machine gun on the rear deck, it is overall a simple and conventional machine with rear exit hatch and side gun ports for mounted infantry to fire through. The Marder is currently being replaced by its successor, the Puma.

The Kliment Voroshilov (KV) tanks were a series of Soviet Red Army heavy tanks, named after the Soviet defense commissar and politician Kliment Voroshilov. The KV series were known for their extremely heavy armour protection during the early part of World War II, especially during the first year of the invasion of the Soviet Union. Almost completely immune to the 3.7 cm KwK 36 and howitzer-like, short barreled 7.5 cm KwK 37 guns mounted respectively on the early Panzer III and Panzer IV tanks fielded by the invading Nazi forces; until better guns were developed by the Germans it was often the case that the only way to defeat a KV was with a point-blank shot to the rear. Prior to the invasion, about 500 of the over 22,000 tanks then in Soviet service were of the KV-1 type. When the KV-1 appeared, it outclassed the French Char B1, the only other heavy tank in operational service in the world at that time. Yet in the end it turned out that there was little sense in producing the expensive KV tanks, as the T-34 medium tank performed better (or at least equally) in all practical respects. Later in the war, the KV series became a base of development for the Joseph Stalin (Iosif Stalin, or IS) series of tanks.

Minden nyílásfedél nyitható vagy zárható. A periszkóp, az optikai berendezések és a lámpák átlátszó alkatrészek. A további páncélelemek megvalósítják a jármű karosszériájának és a torony felosztásának részleteit. A hat kerék forgatható és TPE gumiszerkezetből készül, finom maratott részletekkel. A motor légbeömlőnyílás-biztos hálója, a hátsó rendszámtábla és a jármű hosszkereső ütközésgátló fém fotómaratott fém kiegészítőkből készül. A modell finom fémhevederekkel van felszerelve. A lakosztály francia katonai stílusban és NATO háromszínű bevonattal is elkészíthető, kétféle regisztrációs számmal. Tartalmaz egy darab bőséges vízmatricát és színes kézikönyvet a színes bevonatról

A jármű karosszériája és tornya teljes hegesztő alumínium szerkezetű. A GIAT Group kutatja, fejleszti és gyártja annak érdekében, hogy megfeleljen a Panhard nehéz páncélozott jármű francia hadsereg általi leváltására vonatkozó követelménynek. A francia hadsereg az 1980-as évek óta 284 darab AMX-10RC-t vásárolt. Marokkó és Katar is fel van szerelve ezzel a járművel. Az AMX-10RC részt vesz a csádi polgárháborúban, az öbölháborúban, a boszniai háborúban és az afganisztáni háborúban, amelyhez a francia hadsereg csatlakozott. Az AMX-10RCR egy új típus, amelyet a franciák 2000-ben továbbfejlesztettek a régi AMX-10RC-n, ahol a jármű rakodó berendezését és az acél páncélzatot hozzáadták, a hátsó sprinklert és az első hullámtörőt eltávolították, és elhagyták a kétéltű célt. A francia hadsereg 2010-ben fejezte be a teljes jármű fejlesztését. Az új AMX-10RCR hosszabb ideig áll szolgálatba a francia hadseregben.

A 59. típus egy legendás fő harckocsi, amelyet először a Kínai Népköztársaság gyártott 1957-ből. 1959-ben kezdte meg szolgálatát (innen a neve), és a mai napig több nemzet használja. Látszólag a szovjet T-54 sorozatú harckocsik másolata, a Type 59 számos módosítást és egyszerűsítést kapott a felállításában. Ennek ellenére senki sem vitathatja ennek a tanknak a hatékonyságát és harci törzskönyvét, még a divatos szovjet eszközök nélkül sem. A 100 mm-es löveggel felszerelve, amelyet végül 105 mm-esre cseréltek a későbbi változatokban, a Type 59 olyan erő volt, amellyel számolni kellett - megbízható, rugalmas harckocsi mindenféle katonai helyzetben

Képgaléria egy Csengő X-1B, The Bell X-1, designated originally as XS-1, was a joint National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics-U.S. Army Air Forces-U.S. Air Force supersonic research project built by the Bell Aircraft Company. Conceived during 1944 and designed and built during 1945, it achieved a speed of nearly 1,000 miles per hour (1,600 km/h; 870 kn) during 1948. A derivative of this same design, the Bell X-1A, having greater fuel capacity and hence longer rocket burning time, exceeded 1,600 miles per hour (2,600 km/h; 1,400 kn) during 1954. The X-1 was the first manned airplane to exceed the speed of sound in level flight and was the first of the so-called X-planes, a series of American experimental rocket planes designated for testing of new technologies and often kept secret.

Aircraft manufacturer A.V. Roe and Company (Avro) designed the Vulcan in response to Specification B.35/46. Of the three V bombers produced, the Vulcan was considered the most technically advanced and hence the riskiest option. Several scale aircraft, designated Avro 707, were produced to test and refine the delta wing design principles.
