Galerie de photos d’un Anglais Electric Canberra Mk.20, The English Electric Canberra is a British first-generation jet-powered medium bomber that was manufactured during the 1950s. It was developed by English Electric during the mid-to-late 1940s in response to a 1944 Air Ministry requirement for a successor to the wartime de Havilland Mosquito fast-bomber; amongst the performance requirements for the type was the demand for an outstanding high altitude bombing capability in addition to flying at high speeds, these were partly accomplished by making use of newly-developed jet propulsion technology. Galerie de photos d’un Escroc Convair B-58A, The Convair B-58 Hustler was the first operational supersonic jet bomber capable of Mach 2 flight. The aircraft was designed by Convair engineer Robert H. Widmer and developed for the United States Air Force for service in the Strategic Air Command (SAC) during the 1960s. It used a delta wing, which was also employed by Convair fighters such as the F-102, with four General Electric J79 engines in pods under the wing. It carried five nuclear weapons; four on pylons under the wings, and one nuclear weapon and fuel in a combination bomb/fuel pod under the fuselage, rather than in an internal bomb bay.

There are currently three variants, the M88, M88A1 and M88A2 HERCULES (Heavy Equipment Recovery Combat Utility Lifting Extraction System). The M88 series has seen action most noticeably in the Vietnam War, the Persian Gulf War, the Iraq War, and the War in Afghanistan, and to a lesser extent during the Kosovo War, where they were deployed to help recover heavy armored vehicles of the Allied ground units. The current M88A2 replacement cost is around US$2,050,000. The M88A2 est légèrement plus grand que ses prédécesseurs (8,6 x 3,7 x 3,2 m contre 8,3 x 3,4 x 3,2 m) conserve ainsi une vitesse de pointe inférieure (40 km/h) et une autonomie nettement inférieure (322 km contre 450 km). Il y a également eu des améliorations dans le freinage et la direction. De plus, le M88A2 a amélioré la protection du blindage, y compris les jupes de chenilles blindées et les panneaux de blindage d’application, ce qui manque aux deux modèles précédents. Le M88 manque également de défenses nucléaires, biologiques, chimiques (NBC) et d’un générateur d’écran de fumée, dont les derniers modèles M88A1 et M88A2 sont équipés. De plus, le nombre d’équipages est passé de 5 à 3-4 à 3 au cours de la série.

It was the last piston-engined bomber designed by Boeing for the United States Air Force (except the never-completed B-54, a derivative of the B-50). Not as well known as its direct predecessor, the B-50 was in USAF service for nearly 20 years.

It was named in honour of General Philippe Leclerc de Hauteclocque who led the French element of the drive towards Paris while in command of the Free French 2nd Armoured Division (2ème DB) in World War II. The Leclerc is in service with the French Army and the army of the United Arab Emirates. In production since 1991, the Leclerc entered French service in 1992, replacing the AMX 30 as the country’principale plate-forme blindée. Avec une production maintenant terminée, l Français armée a un total de 406 Leclerc et l’armée des Émirats arabes unis en a 388.

Alors que différents modèles ont été testés, seules deux versions de l’ERC ont été développées et produites : la Lynx et la Sagaie. La principale différence entre les deux versions est le type de tourelle et de canon de 90 mm installé. Sagaie est Français pour assegai, un type de lance africaine.
