L'opération Frankton is a World War II military operation, led by a group of ten men from the Royal Marines Boom Patrol Detachment, a naval commando detachment. The operation, which began on 7 December 1942 with the launch of five kayaks (ten men) off Montalivet, was carried out by the Axis ships, based in the port of Bordeaux.
