It was capable of firing up to 30 rounds per minute with a trained crew. The US 75mm M1897 was effective against infantry, artillery, and light armored vehicles. It was also mounted on some self-propelled vehicles, such as the M3 Gun Motor Carriage and the Saint-Chamond tank.
