De Dodge WC series was a range of light military trucks produced by Dodge and Fargo during World War II. The series included weapon carriers, telephone installation trucks, ambulances, reconnaissance vehicles, mobile workshops and command cars. They were replaced after the war by the Dodge M-series vehicles. WC was a Dodge model code: W for 1941 and C for half-ton rating. The C code was retained for the ¾ ton and 1½ ton 6×6 Dodges. The Dodge WC16 was a radio panel truck that was part of the Dodge WC series of light 4WD and medium 6WD military utility trucks, produced by Dodge and Fargo during World War II. The WC16 had a 6-cylinder T211 engine with 92 hp, a top speed of 90 km/h and a fuel consumption of 24 L/100 km. The WC16 was used for command and reconnaissance purposes, and had a panel body with radio equipment and antennas. The WC16 was one of the many variants of the WC series, which included weapon carriers, ambulances, command cars, carryalls and mobile workshops. The WC series was the main light 4WD truck supplied to the U.S. military in WWII, along with the 1/4-ton jeeps produced by Willys and Ford.
