Photo Gallery of a AMX-10RC, The AMX-10RC is a light reconnaissance vehicle built by GIAT. Over 300 are in service in the French Army. In addition, 108 vehicles were sold to Morocco and 12 to Qatar. RC stands for Roues-Canon, or wheeled gun. The AMX-10RC should not be confused with the AMX-10P; they share automotive components but otherwise have completely different battlefield roles. The AMX-10RC is amphibious and has very good mobility. It is usually used for reconnaissance missions in dangerous environments or for fire support.

De AMX-10 RC is a wheeled armored vehicle designed for reconnaissance and fire support missions. It was developed by the French companies AMX and APX in the 1970s and entered service with the French Army in 1981. It is armed with a 105 mm F2 BK MECA medium-pressure gun, which can fire a variety of ammunition, including high-explosive anti-tank (HEAT) and armor-piercing fin-stabilized discarding sabot (APFSDS) rounds.
De AMX-10 RC heeft een vierkoppige bemanning en een variabele hydropneumatische vering waarmee hij zijn bodemvrijheid en kanteling kan aanpassen. Het is ook amfibisch, hoewel het extra voorbereiding en uitrusting vereist voor het oversteken van water. De AMX-10 RC is door Frankrijk gebruikt in verschillende conflicten, zoals de Golfoorlog, de Kosovooorlog, de oorlog in Afghanistan en de Malioorlog. Het is ook geëxporteerd naar Marokko, Qatar en Oekraïne. De AMX-10 RC wordt momenteel vervangen door de EBRC Jaguar, een nieuw gepantserd voertuig op wielen met verbeterde bescherming, mobiliteit en vuurkracht.
