De 7,1 ton Maultier, geïntroduceerd vanaf 1942, was grotendeels succesvol, hoewel het niet zo mobiel was als speciaal gebouwde halftracks. Een interessante variant was een Maultier Ambulance die gebruikt kon worden voor evacuatie van het slagveld. Dragon is er trots op de eerste fabrikant te zijn die een plastic kit van dit unieke voertuig aanbiedt!

12.8 cm Kanone 81(K-81/2) was a German heavy anti-tank gun designed to fight against heavy Soviet tanks like IS-2. The German army had encountered the Russian 122 mm guns and had issued a requirement for a similar weapon. Approximately 50 barrels and breeches were used on existing carriages. The weapon that used the ex-French GPF-T carriage was known as the K 81/1 while the K 81/2 used the ex-Russian A-19/ML-20 carriages with shield and balancing gear removed. the cradle and recoil system were discarded and the 128mm gun was mounted in a ring cradle similar to that used on the 81/1. Another version K 81/2 was also built, in which original Russian equilibrators were retained.

The medium tank M-48 Patton was born during the Cold War to replace the previous one, and widespread, M-47. The first units were delivered to the United States Army at the beginning of 50s. Compared to its predecessor, the M-48 used a new hull and a new turret, made both by fusion and more protective, and a new suspension system. The early versions adopted the same 90 mm. gun of the M-47. The M-48 Patton was produced during its history in an impressive number and played an active role in several war theaters. Widely, used since 1965, during the Vietnam War, and in particular by the Marine Corps, the “Patton” were also used by the Israelis, alongside the heavier Centurion, during the Six-Day War in 1967. The version A2 was characterized, in particular, by engine, transmissions and turret improvements.

De HU-16 Albatros werd gemaakt door de Grumman Co. uit de VS, het uitgerust met twee R-1820-76D zuigermotoren van elk met 1425 pk. De maximale snelheid van de Albatros is 200 mph, het maximale bereik is 2660 mijl en het serviceplafond is 21000 voet. Het kan 10 passagiers of vele soorten reddingsuitrusting vervoeren. De eerste vlucht van de HU-16 was op 24 oktober 1947.

Italian Heavy Tank P40

During WWII, the only heavy tank produced by Italy was the P40. The P stands for Pesante, or heavy in Italian, and the number 40 for the year of adoption, 1940. The tank featured bogey-style wheels on a lead spring suspension. The riveted hull construction was the same as the earlier Carro Armato M13/40 (Item 32596). The tank was equipped with a 75mm gun and an 8mm Breda machine gun and was powered by a 330hp V12 diesel engine. The P40 adopted sloped armor after encountering the Soviet T-34s in battle. Roughly 1,200 tanks were order, but only a few were completed before the Italian Armistice in 1943. Approximately 100 tanks were use from then to the end of the war in Northern Italy and Yugoslavia.

AEC Pantserwagen is a series of heavy armoured cars built by the Associated Equipment Company (AEC) during the Second World War. The first example was demonstrated in early 1941, and an order was placed in June of that year. The first version carried a Valentine Mk II turret with 2 pounder gun. Vehicles of later variant designs carried heavier armament. Mk II version has heavier turret with a 6 pounder gun, redesigned front hull, 158 hp diesel engine. The weight of Mk II is 12.0 t. Mk II en Mk III pantserwagens werden gebruikt op het vasteland van Europa. De productie van alle AEC-merken voor gepantserde auto's werd gestaakt nadat er 629 waren geproduceerd. De Mk II / Mk III nam deel aan de gevechten in Europa met Britse en Brits-Indische legereenheden. In 1944 werd een partij AEC-pantserwagens naar Joegoslavië gestuurd voor gebruik door partizanen, overgebrachte auto's werden meer dan 10 jaar gebruikt.

Multiple rocket launchers such as these deliver a devastating amount of explosives to a target area more quickly than conventional artillery, but with lower accuracy and requiring a longer time to reload. They are fragile compared to artillery guns, but are inexpensive and easy to produce. Katyushas of World War II, the first self-propelled artillery mass-produced by the Soviet Union, were usually mounted on trucks. This mobility gave the Katyusha (and other self-propelled artillery) another advantage: being able to deliver a large blow all at once, and then move before being located and attacked with counter-battery fire. Katyusha weapons of World War II included the Bm-13 launcher, lichte BM-8 en zware Bm-31. De Sd.Kfz. ook bekend als "Famo" was een Duitse half-track die wijdverspreid gebruik zag in de Tweede Wereldoorlog, en het zwaarste half-track voertuig van elk type gebouwd in hoeveelheid in nazi-Duitsland tijdens de oorlogsjaren. De hoofdrollen waren als een uitstekende verhuizer voor zeer zware gesleepte kanonnen zoals de 24 cm Kanone 3 en als een tankherstelvoertuig. Tussen 1938 en 1945 werden er ongeveer 2.500 geproduceerd.
