사진 갤러리 FV1611A 험버 피그 Mk.2, The Humber Pig is a lightly armoured truck used by the British Army from the 1950s until the early 1990s. The Pig saw service with the Royal Ulster Constabulary (RUC) from the late 1958 until early 1970. The Pig became particularly well known from its presence on the streets of Northern Ireland during the worst of the Troubles.

Tthe FV1611A 험버 피그 Mk.2 is an armoured vehicle that was used by the British Army and the Royal Ulster Constabulary (RUC) for riot control and internal security duties in Northern Ireland from the 1960s to the 1980s. It is based on the Humber 1 ton truck chassis, and has a Rolls-Royce B60 petrol engine that can reach a maximum speed of 40 mph. The vehicle can carry a crew of two and up to six passengers, and is equipped with a machine gun mounted on a ring above the driver’s hatch.
Tthe FV1611A Humber Pig Mk.2 has additional armour plates and bulletproof glass compared to the earlier FV1611 model, and also features side storage boxes to prevent explosives from being placed underneath. The FV1611A Humber Pig Mk.2 was involved in many notable events during the Troubles, such as Bloody Sunday in 1972, when it served with the 1st Battalion Parachute Regiment in Derry. The vehicle was eventually replaced by more modern armoured personnel carriers, such as the Saxon and the Snatch Land Rover, and was retired from service in the early 1990s.
