The FV721 Fox CVR (Combat Vehicle Reconnaissance) is a British armoured car that was developed in the 1970s as a replacement for the Ferret scout car. The Fox is based on the chassis of the FV432 armoured personnel carrier, but with a smaller and lighter aluminium hull. The main armament of the Fox is a 30 mm L21 RARDEN cannon, which can fire armour-piercing or high-explosive rounds. The Fox also has a 7.62 mm coaxial machine gun and two smoke grenade launchers. The Fox has a crew of three: a driver, a commander and a gunner.

The Fox has a high mobility and speed, thanks to its Rolls-Royce B81 petrol engine and its eight-wheel drive. The Fox can also swim across water obstacles using a flotation screen and propellers. The Fox entered service with the British Army in 1973 and was used in various conflicts, such as the Falklands War, the Gulf War and the Iraq War.
