Le Martin B-57 Canberra era un bombardiere tattico bimotore a reazione che ha equipaggiato la United States Air Force dalla metà degli anni '50. Il suo robusto design aerodinamico e la sua grande affidabilità lo rendevano ideale per il ruolo di bombardiere tattico e aereo da ricognizione. Era equipaggiato con due motori turbogetto Wright J65 ed era in grado di raggiungere i 960 km/h. Grazie al suo vano bombe e ai suoi quattro punti di aggancio esterni era in grado di trasportare un carico offensivo di 3.300 kg. Nel corso della sua lunga attività operativa, sono state sviluppate diverse versioni. In particolare il B-57G, derivato dal B-57B, è stato sviluppato come intruder notturno. Facilmente riconoscibile per l'aggiunta del "radome", il B-57G svolse un ruolo importante durante la guerra del Vietnam per supportare i combattimenti lungo il sentiero di Ho Chi Minh. Era dotato di un nuovo radar, di un'avionica più moderna e, in particolare, di una varietà di sensori in grado di sganciare bombe a guida laser.

The subject of Dragon’s latest 1/72 scale plastic kit is a delightful model of the American-designed Sikorsky SH-3G Sea King helicopter. Originally, the twin-engine SH-3 Sea King was used primarily in the role of anti-submarine warfare (ASW) by the US Navy (USN). It was also the first amphibious helicopter in the world and it entered USN service in 1961. Various modifications occurred in its lifespan, with a total of 105 SH-3A and SH-3D craft being converted into the versatile SH-3G. The latter was a cargo, utility and transport helicopter used by the USN. In the 1990s the SH-3 Sea King was replaced by the SH-60 Seahawk in the USN. This 1/72 scale Dragon plastic model is well designed and cleverly engineered to induce maximum modeling enjoyment. The fuselage is correctly proportioned and it’s furnished with a full level of detail both inside and outside. It has a new part to plug the gap where the sonar was originally located. The foldable rotor blades are made to true scale thickness too. With appropriate Cartograf decal markings for several USN squadrons available, this SH-3G is ready to lift off in service of the navy!

Le 7,1 tonnellate Maultier, introdotto dal 1942 in poi, ebbe un grande successo anche se non era così mobile come i semicingolati appositamente costruiti. Una variante interessante era un'ambulanza Maultier che poteva essere utilizzata per l'evacuazione sul campo di battaglia. Dragon è orgogliosa di essere il primo produttore ad offrire un kit di plastica di questo veicolo unico!

12,8 cm Kanone 81(K-81/2) era un cannone anticarro pesante tedesco progettato per combattere contro i carri armati pesanti sovietici come l'IS-2. L'esercito tedesco si era imbattuto nei cannoni russi da 122 mm e aveva emesso un requisito per un'arma simile. Circa 50 canne e calzoni sono stati utilizzati sui carrelli esistenti. L'arma che utilizzava l'affusto GPF-T ex-francese era nota come K 81/1 mentre il K 81/2 utilizzava gli affusti A-19/ML-20 ex-russi con scudo e ingranaggio di bilanciamento rimossi. La culla e il sistema di rinculo furono scartati e il cannone da 128 mm fu montato in una culla ad anello simile a quella utilizzata sull'81/1. Fu costruita anche un'altra versione K 81/2, in cui furono mantenuti gli equilibratori russi originali.

Il serbatoio medio M-48 Patton nacque durante la Guerra Fredda per sostituire il precedente, e diffuso, M-47. Le prime unità furono consegnate all'esercito degli Stati Uniti all'inizio degli anni '50. Rispetto al suo predecessore, l'M-48 utilizzava un nuovo scafo e una nuova torretta, realizzati sia per fusione che più protettivi, e un nuovo sistema di sospensioni. Le prime versioni adottarono lo stesso cannone da 90 mm dell'M-47. L'M-48 Patton fu prodotto durante la sua storia in un numero impressionante e giocò un ruolo attivo in diversi teatri di guerra. Ampiamente, usato dal 1965, durante la guerra del Vietnam, e in particolare dal Corpo dei Marines, i "Patton" furono usati anche dagli israeliani, insieme al centurione più pesante, durante la guerra dei sei giorni nel 1967. La versione A2 era caratterizzata, in particolare, da miglioramenti del motore, delle trasmissioni e della torretta.

Le HU-16 Albatross was made by the Grumman Co. of the US, it equipped with two R-1820-76D reciprocating engines of each with 1425 horse powers.The maximum speed of the Albatross is 200 mph, maximum range is 2660 miles and service ceiling is 21000 feet. It can carry 10 passengers or many kinds of rescue equipments. The first flight of the HU-16 was on October 24, 1947.

Durante la seconda guerra mondiale, l'unico carro pesante prodotto dall'Italia fu il P40. La P sta per Pesante, o pesante in italiano, e il numero 40 per l'anno di adozione, 1940. Il serbatoio presentava ruote in stile bogey su una sospensione a molla di piombo. La costruzione dello scafo rivettato era la stessa del precedente Carro Armato M13/40 (voce 32596). Il carro armato era equipaggiato con un cannone da 75 mm e una mitragliatrice Breda da 8 mm ed era alimentato da un motore diesel V12 da 330 CV. Il P40 adottò un'armatura inclinata dopo aver incontrato i T-34 sovietici in battaglia. Circa 1.200 carri armati furono ordinati, ma solo pochi furono completati prima dell'armistizio italiano nel 1943. Circa 100 carri armati furono utilizzati da allora fino alla fine della guerra nel Nord Italia e in Jugoslavia.

Autoblindo AEC is a series of heavy armoured cars built by the Associated Equipment Company (AEC) during the Second World War. The first example was demonstrated in early 1941, and an order was placed in June of that year. The first version carried a Valentine Mk II turret with 2 pounder gun. Vehicles of later variant designs carried heavier armament. Mk II version has heavier turret with a 6 pounder gun, redesigned front hull, 158 hp diesel engine. The weight of Mk II is 12.0 t. Autoblindo Mk II e Mk III sono stati utilizzati nell'Europa continentale. La produzione di tutte le autoblindo AEC cessò dopo che ne furono prodotte 629. Il Mk II / Mk III prese parte ai combattimenti in Europa con le unità britanniche e dell'esercito indiano britannico. Nel 1944 un lotto di autoblindo AEC fu inviato in Jugoslavia per l'uso da parte dei partigiani, le auto trasferite furono utilizzate per più di 10 anni.

Multiple rocket launchers such as these deliver a devastating amount of explosives to a target area more quickly than conventional artillery, but with lower accuracy and requiring a longer time to reload. They are fragile compared to artillery guns, but are inexpensive and easy to produce. Katyushas of World War II, the first self-propelled artillery mass-produced by the Soviet Union, were usually mounted on trucks. This mobility gave the Katyusha (and other self-propelled artillery) another advantage: being able to deliver a large blow all at once, and then move before being located and attacked with counter-battery fire. Katyusha weapons of World War II included the BM-13 lanciatore, BM-8 leggero e pesante BM-31.
