2007 Martin B-57 Canberra oli kahe reaktiivmootoriga taktikaline pommitaja, mis on varustanud Ameerika Ühendriikide õhujõude alates 50ndate keskpaigast. Selle tugev aerodünaamiline disain ja suur töökindlus muutsid selle ideaalseks taktikalise pommitaja ja luurelennukite rolliks. See oli varustatud kahe Wright J65 turboreaktiivmootoriga ja see suutis jõuda 960 km / h-ni. Tänu oma pommilahtrile ja neljale välisele kõvapunktile suutis see kanda solvavat koormust 3,300 kg. The subject of Dragon’s latest 1/72 scale plastic kit is a delightful model of the American-designed Sikorsky SH-3G Sea King helicopter. Originally, the twin-engine SH-3 Sea King was used primarily in the role of anti-submarine warfare (ASW) by the US Navy (USN). It was also the first amphibious helicopter in the world and it entered USN service in 1961. Various modifications occurred in its lifespan, with a total of 105 SH-3A and SH-3D craft being converted into the versatile SH-3G. The latter was a cargo, utility and transport helicopter used by the USN. In the 1990s the SH-3 Sea King was replaced by the SH-60 Seahawk in the USN. This 1/72 scale Dragon plastic model is well designed and cleverly engineered to induce maximum modeling enjoyment. The fuselage is correctly proportioned and it’s furnished with a full level of detail both inside and outside. It has a new part to plug the gap where the sonar was originally located. The foldable rotor blades are made to true scale thickness too. With appropriate Cartograf decal markings for several USN squadrons available, this SH-3G is ready to lift off in service of the navy!

12,8 cm Kanone 81(K-81/2) oli Saksa raske tankitõrjekahur, mis oli mõeldud võitluseks raskete Nõukogude tankide vastu nagu IS-2. Saksa armee oli kokku puutunud Vene 122 mm relvadega ja oli välja andnud nõude sarnase relva järele. Olemasolevatel vagunitel kasutati umbes 50 tünni ja põlvpükse. Relv, mis kasutas endist Prantsuse GPF-T vankrit, oli tuntud kui K 81/1, samas kui K 81/2 kasutas endise Vene A-19/ML-20 vaguneid, millel oli eemaldatud kilp ja tasakaalustusseade. häll ja tagasilöögisüsteem visati ära ja 128mm relv paigaldati rõngasalusesse, mis sarnaneb 81/1-l kasutatavaga. The medium tank M-48 Patton was born during the Cold War to replace the previous one, and widespread, M-47. The first units were delivered to the United States Army at the beginning of 50s. Compared to its predecessor, the M-48 used a new hull and a new turret, made both by fusion and more protective, and a new suspension system. The early versions adopted the same 90 mm. gun of the M-47. The M-48 Patton was produced during its history in an impressive number and played an active role in several war theaters. Widely, used since 1965, during the Vietnam War, and in particular by the Marine Corps, the “Patton” were also used by the Israelis, alongside the heavier Centurion, during the Six-Day War in 1967. The version A2 was characterized, in particular, by engine, transmissions and turret improvements.

During WWII, the only heavy tank produced by Italy was the P40. The P stands for Pesante, or heavy in Italian, and the number 40 for the year of adoption, 1940. The tank featured bogey-style wheels on a lead spring suspension. The riveted hull construction was the same as the earlier Carro Armato M13/40 (Item 32596). The tank was equipped with a 75mm gun and an 8mm Breda machine gun and was powered by a 330hp V12 diesel engine. The P40 adopted sloped armor after encountering the Soviet T-34s in battle. Roughly 1,200 tanks were order, but only a few were completed before the Italian Armistice in 1943. Approximately 100 tanks were use from then to the end of the war in Northern Italy and Yugoslavia.

The first example was demonstrated in early 1941, and an order was placed in June of that year. The first version carried a Valentine Mk II turret with 2 pounder gun. Vehicles of later variant designs carried heavier armament. Mk II version has heavier turret with a 6 pounder gun, redesigned front hull, 158 hp diesel engine. The weight of Mk II is 12.0 t. Mk II and Mk III armored cars were used on continental Europe. Production of all the AEC armoured car marks ceased after 629 had been produced. The Mk II / Mk III took part in the fighting in Europe with British and British Indian Army units. In 1944 a batch of AEC armoured cars was send into Yugoslavia for use by partisans, transferred cars were used more than 10 years.

Multiple rocket launchers such as these deliver a devastating amount of explosives to a target area more quickly than conventional artillery, but with lower accuracy and requiring a longer time to reload. They are fragile compared to artillery guns, but are inexpensive and easy to produce. Katyushas of World War II, the first self-propelled artillery mass-produced by the Soviet Union, were usually mounted on trucks. This mobility gave the Katyusha (and other self-propelled artillery) another advantage: being able to deliver a large blow all at once, and then move before being located and attacked with counter-battery fire.
