The Dardo (Italian for « Dart »), also designated as the VCC-80, is a tracked infantry fighting vehicle developed by a consortium of Iveco and Oto Melara for the Italian Army. Its design began in the 1980s to replace the aging M113 APCs and provide mechanized infantry with improved firepower, protection, and mobility.
