Lla EE-9 Cascavel (Prononciation portugaise: est une voiture blindée brésilienne à six roues développée principalement pour la reconnaissance. Il a été conçu par Engesa en 1970 en remplacement du Brésil’s flotte vieillissante de Lévriers M8. Le véhicule a d’abord été équipé du Greyhound’Canon principal de 37 mm, puis une tourelle Français adoptée à partir du Panhard AML-90. Les modèles ultérieurs portent des tourelles Engesa uniques avec un canon belge Cockerill Mk.3 de 90 mm produit sous licence sous le nom d’EC-90

Lla EE-9 Cascavel is a six-wheeled armored reconnaissance vehicle developed by Engesa, a Brazilian company, in the 1970s. It was designed to provide mobility, firepower and protection for scouting units in various terrains and climates. The EE-9 Cascavel is armed with a 90 mm cannon and two 7.62 mm machine guns, and can reach speeds of up to 100 km/h on roads. The vehicle has a crew of four: commander, gunner, driver and loader.
The EE-9 Cascavel has been exported to several countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America, and has seen combat in various conflicts such as the Iran-Iraq War, the Chadian Civil War and the Angolan Civil War.
