Fotogalleri av en Leopard 2E, The Leopard 2E (E står för España, spanska för Spanien) är en variant av den tyska Leopard 2 huvudstridsvagnen, skräddarsydd för kraven från den spanska armén, som förvärvade den som en del av ett rustningsmoderniseringsprogram som heter Programa Coraza, eller Program Breastplate. Förvärvsprogrammet för Leopard 2E började 1994, fem år efter annulleringen av Lince-stridsvagnsprogrammet som kulminerade i ett avtal om att överföra 108 Leopard 2A4s till den spanska armén 1998 och startade den lokala produktionen av Leopard 2E i december 2003. Trots att produktionen sköts upp på grund av sammanslagningen mellan Santa Bárbara Sistemas och General Dynamics 2003, och fortsatta tillverkningsproblem mellan 2006 och 2007, har 219 Leopard 2Es levererats till den spanska armén.
