The 1910 Deperdussin monoplane was the first aircraft to be built in significant quantities by Aéroplanes Deperdussin. The type was produced in a number of variants which were flown successfully in air races and gained several records during 1911, and was used by the Australian Central Flying School at Point Cook, Victoria. Several have survived, including an airworthy example in the Shuttleworth Collection in England.

Više informacija:

The Deperdussin 1910 monoplane was an early French aircraft designed by Louis Béchereau and built by Société Pour les Appareils Deperdussin (SPAD). It was a single-seat, single-engine, low-wing aircraft with a wire-braced wooden structure covered with fabric. The Deperdussin 1910 monoplane was one of the first aircraft to use ailerons for lateral control, instead of wing warping. It was also one of the first aircraft to achieve high speeds, reaching over 100 km/h in 1911. The Deperdussin 1910 monoplane was used for racing and record-breaking flights, as well as for military purposes during World War I. It was the predecessor of the famous SPAD S.VII fighter.
