More info:

The Type 80/88 main battle tank is a family of Chinese second-generation MBTs that were developed in the 1980s to replace the obsolete Type 59 and Type 69 tanks. The Type 80/88 tanks are based on the Type 79 tank, but with a new chassis, engine, suspension and main gun. The Type 80/88 tanks use a 105mm rifled gun that can fire APFSDS, HEAT and HE rounds. The tanks also have a coaxial 7.62mm machine gun and a roof-mounted 12.7mm machine gun for anti-aircraft defense.
The Type 80/88 tanks have a four-man crew, consisting of a commander, a gunner, a loader and a driver. The tanks are powered by a German-licensed diesel engine that gives them a maximum speed of 57 km/h and an operational range of 500 km. The Type 80/88 tanks have a cast steel turret with composite armor and can be fitted with explosive reactive armor for additional protection. The Type 80/88 tanks have been used by the Chinese People’s Liberation Army and several export customers, such as Pakistan, Bangladesh and Myanmar.
